One-Week Scarecrow Fun Bundle Unit for Pre-K, Kindergarten and Special Education Teachers

October 29, 2025

One Week of Fall Learning Done for You

The Scarecrows unit from Made For Me Literacy brings a full week of engaging, fall-themed instruction into your Pre-K or special education classroom, with no extra planning required. It’s part of our low-prep Fun Bundle series and is carefully crafted to support diverse learners using visual supports, hands-on tools, and structured routines.

Whether you’re working on vocabulary, early math, fine motor skills, or simply creating a classroom filled with curiosity, this unit gives you a whole week of cross-curricular fun wrapped in predictable, purposeful activities.

A Fall Favorite for Early Learners

Weekly Theme: Scarecrows
Book: The Scarecrow’s Hat by Ken Brown

You’ll start each day with one of five class activities that hit key learning areas like writing, sequencing, and science.

Students will help build a predictable chart titled “It Is Autumn”, craft a Grateful Scarecrow, and explore seasons using anchor charts and process art.

And yes, there’s even a Scarecrow Cookie recipe with visuals to guide your class through a tasty, multisensory lesson.

Hands-On Centers for Independent Learning

The unit includes 4 interactive centers that are anything but busy work. With task boxes and file folders, your students will explore scarecrow emotions, build number sequencing skills, and practice picture addition, all with familiar visuals and fall-themed content.

Every center is classroom-tested and ready to go with no guesswork on your part.

Practice Pages That Reinforce Core Skills

With 5 differentiated skill-practice worksheets, this unit helps students build confidence with letter writing, vocabulary, counting, and matching.

Each worksheet comes in two levels, so you can scaffold without skipping a beat. Whether you use them in small groups, send them home, or tuck them into your independent work bins, these print-and-go sheets are an easy win.

Plus Extras That Teachers Actually Use

Along with your activities and centers, you’ll get fall-themed vocabulary visuals, bingo cards, mini-books, write-the-room tasks, and assessments, all designed to help students access content in multiple ways.

There are even errorless options (4 total) and a set of digital centers for tech-friendly practice. Learn more about other uses for errorless activities here.

The Week’s Already Planned—You Just Press Print

If you’re feeling stretched thin or just want something you can rely on, this one’s worth a look. Scarecrows is structured, differentiated, and packed with activities your students will actually enjoy.

It’s easy to prep, easy to teach, and makes it easy to feel like you’ve got it together, even on the busiest days.
