While I am a big lover of Christmas and all things Santa, I wanted to keep my December read aloud on the holiday neutral side. I am so happy I stumbled upon “Snowmen at Night”!
Both the clever illustrations and silly, rhyming story line kept the students laughing throughout the entire book.
What better way to introduce a snowman story than sensory snow? Best of all? This snow only uses 2 ingredients and cleanup is easy with just water!
In a big bowl or container, pour in 1 cup white conditioner with 3 cups baking soda. Mix the two ingredients together with your hands until it is the consistency of mashed potatoes.
Being from Texas, snow is a rare occurrence. The kids loved squishing this faux snow into snowballs and stacking them to make snowmen.
